# Contracted hours

> See who is under their contracted weekly minimum hours, with period filters and documented hours sources.

## Where to find it

Open **HR metrics** in the HR sidebar, then the **Contracted hours** tab (`/hr/metrics/contracted-hours`). Access is for ops case viewers/managers and leave admins (separate from the Finance **View SSP ledger** permission).

## What it shows

The report lists active staff who have a **contracted weekly minimum** on their HR record (`weekly hours` greater than zero) and who fell under that minimum in one or more Monday-start weeks in your selected date range.

For each person you see:

* Contracted hours per week
* How many weeks they were under
* How many weeks are in the period
* Average hours per week in the period
* Primary hours source used across those weeks

People with no weekly hours set (including typical zero-hours / casual records) are excluded.

## Hours source

Campsite prefers, in order:

1. **Approved timesheet** minutes for that week
2. **Reported timesheet** minutes if not yet approved
3. **Scheduled rota** shift duration when no timesheet minutes exist

The primary source column shows the most common source across weeks in the period.

## Alerts

On the **HR settings** tab in HR metrics, you can enable under-hours notifications and set:

* Lookback weeks (default 4)
* Under-weeks threshold (default 2)

When someone is under minimum in at least that many weeks in the lookback, line managers and HR viewers get a deduped in-app alert (once per ISO week per person). Alerts link back to this report.
