# DBS renewals

> Track people who need a DBS check with a missing or soon-due expiry date.

## Overview

DBS renewals helps people teams keep required Disclosure and Barring Service checks current. Open **DBS renewals** (`/hr/dbs-renewals`) for a countdown list, or open the person on the Job section to review details.

## Queue

People marked as **needing DBS** appear when:

* There is no expiry date yet, or
* The expiry is in the next 90 days (or overdue)

The list shows level, issued date, expiry, countdown, and whether a valid DBS is missing.

## Updating an expiry

People with permission to manage HR records can set the **DBS expiry date** from the queue. Open the employee file Job tab to update level, reference, and other DBS fields.
