# Policy acknowledgements

> Track who still needs to acknowledge the current version of a required policy, and review acknowledgement history.

## Overview

Policy acknowledgements help people teams see who has not confirmed the **current version** of a required policy. Open **Policy acknowledgements** (`/hr/policy-acks`).

Policies live in the **resource library**. Mark a resource as requiring acknowledgement during onboarding, then publish a new version when the policy text changes.

## Missing current versions

The queue lists active members who have not acknowledged a required policy that is currently marked for acknowledgement. Each row shows the person, policy title, and version number.

Open a row to see that person’s **version history** (previous acknowledgements stay on older versions).

## Publishing a new version

On a required policy in the resource library, use **Publish new version**. This:

* Creates a new version of the same policy
* Keeps earlier acknowledgements as history
* Marks the new version as the one people still need to acknowledge

Replace the file on the new version if the document content changed.
