# Risk assessments

> Assign DSE and risk assessments and track overdue or upcoming completions.

## Where to find it

Open **Risk assessments** from the HR navigation (`/hr/hs-assessments`). You need permission to view or manage HR records.

## What it does

People teams assign assessment templates (DSE, risk, or other) to individuals with an optional due date. The queue shows open, overdue, upcoming, and completed assignments.

Default templates for DSE and a general risk assessment are created for the organisation when you first open the page.

## Employee file

Open assignments for a person also appear on their employee file **Job** tab, with a link back to the queue.
