# Working Time

> Record 48-hour average opt-outs and review rest shortfalls between consecutive rota shifts.

## Where to find it

Open **Working Time** from the HR navigation (`/hr/wtr`). You need permission to view or manage HR records. Manage permission is required to set or clear opt-outs.

## 48-hour opt-outs

Record when someone has opted out of the 48-hour average working week. You can store an optional expiry date, document link, and notes. Clear an opt-out when it no longer applies.

## Rest breaches

The rest list finds consecutive published rota shifts for the same person where rest between the previous end and next start is under **11 hours** (UK default). Choose a lookback window (default 28 days, up to 90).
