Your Campsite profile is the central record of who you are within your organisation’s workspace. Keeping it complete and current helps your team identify you, lets Campsite route the right notifications to you, and ensures HR records stay accurate. This page explains what you can edit, where to find each section, and how to personalise your workspace experience.

Find your profile

Access your profile in either of these ways:
  • Select My Profile in the main sidebar (below Dashboard).
  • Select your avatar or name in the top-right corner of any page, then choose Profile from the menu.
  • Navigate directly to /profile in your workspace URL (for example, campsite-qa-lab.camp-site.co.uk/profile).
Account preferences (appearance, notifications, integrations, and danger zone actions) live under Settings, not in the People workspace.

Edit your personal details

From your profile page you can update the following information:

Display name

Full name, preferred name, and pronouns shown across the workspace.

Contact details

Personal phone and current home address. Both save with your personal details. HR and Finance are notified when you change your home address. Emergency contacts are managed under Payroll and records → History.

Profile photo

Upload a photo under Payroll and records → Documents (Identity), or from Settings.

Work email

Shown on your profile for reference. Change it from Settings when your organisation allows.
Make your changes and select Save to apply name, pronouns, phone, and home address. When you update your home address, Campsite notifies HR and Finance automatically.
Your role and department cannot be changed from your own profile. Only an admin can reassign your role or move you between departments. Contact your admin if you need either of those updated.

Periodic record reviews

If your organisation turns on record reviews, you will see a prompt on your profile when a review is due. Open Review records (/profile/record-review) to confirm your details are still correct, or update your home address or work location. If right-to-work or visa details have changed, say so so HR can follow up.

HR record on your profile

Your HR record (employment details, documents, payroll fields, and related tabs) lives on the same My Profile page (/profile). It is not listed separately in the People workspace sidebar; use the main navigation or the links above. The fields available depend on what your organisation’s admin has configured. These may include emergency contact details, right-to-work information, employment type, start date, and other HR-specific data.
Some HR profile fields may be marked as required by your admin. If required fields are incomplete, you may find certain features of the workspace unavailable until you fill them in. You will see a prompt if this applies to your account.

Documents on your profile

Open Profile → Payroll & records → Documents.
  • Use filter and sort to find identity, bank, tax, or supporting files.
  • Select Upload to open the side panel, add one or more files, then set a category on each before uploading.
  • Select a row or View to preview a PDF or image in a side panel. Close the panel to stay on Documents. Other file types can be downloaded from the panel.
  • Rows with an expiry date show expired, due soon (within 30 days), or the expiry date.
  • Bank proof and NI proof categories also appear under Bank details and NI & tax.
  • Fit notes and similar supporting uploads are reviewed by HR before they become official records.
Open Payroll & records on your profile to update bank details or National Insurance and tax information. Use the Jump to list to open Bank details, NI & tax, Payslips, Documents, or History. Those changes are sent for HR and Finance approval. You cannot approve your own submission; another authorised colleague must review it.

Payslips

Open Profile → Payroll & records → Payslips to list and preview your own pay history files. HR can upload slips on the employee file Payroll tab. When HR opens someone else’s payslip, the access is audited.

History on your profile

Open Profile → Payroll & records → History.
  • Records sit in one list you can expand section by section (roles, training, contacts, dependants, and related HR items).
  • Emergency contacts submit for HR review from your profile. After approval they show under People → Employee file → Emergency. Dependants and beneficiaries save to your HR employee record.
  • Use Add on a section header where you can update that record.
  • Bank details and NI & tax still need HR and Finance approval before they become active for payroll.
  • Privacy / right to erasure stays in its own panel below the list when your organisation allows self-service requests.

Personalise your workspace

Campsite lets you tailor the look of the workspace to your preference. Find these options under Settings.
1

Open Settings

Select your avatar or name in the top-right corner, then choose Settings.
2

Choose a colour mode

Select Light or Dark mode to match your working environment or personal preference.
3

Pick an accent colour

Choose an accent colour preset - options include Midnight (default), Ocean, Emerald, Sunset, Orchid, and Rose. The accent colour affects primary buttons, active navigation highlights, and unread badges.

Refer a company

Every organisation on Campsite has a unique referral code. All members of your organisation share the same code. New organisations receive a code based on their name and signup month (for example CGS0626 for Camp Ground Services in June 2026). Org admins can set a custom code in Settings → Account.
  1. Open Settings and go to the Account tab.
  2. Find Refer a company to see your code and a ready-made sign-up link.
  3. Share the code or link with another employer who is creating a new Campsite workspace.
  4. Org admins can choose Set a custom code to pick a memorable code (4-32 letters or numbers).
When they become a new organisation admin and enter your code during onboarding, Campsite records the referral and earns your organisation 10% off your subscription. Referral and evaluation access are agreed during the demo and onboarding process.

Language preference

Campsite is currently available in English. Additional language support is on the roadmap, and your language preference can be set in Settings when more options become available.
