The Campsite resource library at /resources is your organisation’s central document store — a single place where staff can find policies, handbooks, guides, forms, and any other files your team needs to do their job. Rather than hunting through email threads or shared drives, everyone in your organisation can browse, preview, and download documents directly from their Campsite workspace.

Browsing the library

When you open the resource library, you’ll see documents organised into folders created by your admins. You can browse folders, search for a specific document by name, and preview files without downloading them.

Browse folders

Resources are organised into folders. Click a folder to see its contents and navigate into sub-folders where they exist.

Preview documents

Preview PDFs, images, and other common file formats directly in Campsite without needing to download first.

Download files

Download any resource to your device for offline use or to share with someone outside your organisation.

View tracking

The library tracks how many times each resource has been viewed, helping admins understand which documents are most used.

Uploading resources

Users with edit access to the library can upload new documents and add them to the appropriate folder. If you’re not sure whether you have edit access, check with your Super Admin.
1

Click 'New resource'

From the resource library, click the New resource button in the top right corner of the page.
2

Choose your file

Select the file you want to upload from your device. Common formats including PDFs, Word documents, images, and spreadsheets are all supported.
3

Set the folder and title

Choose which folder the resource should live in and give it a clear, descriptive title. A good title makes the document easier to find in search and easier for staff to identify at a glance.
4

Save the resource

Click Save to upload the file and make it available to anyone with access to that folder.
Folder structure and access permissions are managed by your Super Admin. If you need a new folder created or need access to a restricted folder, contact your admin.

Archiving and restoring resources

When a document is out of date or no longer needed, you can archive it rather than deleting it. Archived resources are hidden from the main library view so they don’t clutter the navigation, but they’re not permanently removed.
1

Archive a resource

Open the resource and select Archive from the options menu. It will immediately disappear from the main library view.
2

Restore an archived resource

To restore a resource, navigate to the archived resources view (available to users with edit access) and select Restore. The resource will reappear in its original folder.

Scout AI integration

Every resource in the library is connected to Scout, Campsite’s AI assistant. From any document, you can ask Scout to summarise it or answer specific questions about its content — without reading the whole thing yourself.
Use Scout AI to get quick answers from long policy documents like your HR handbook or leave policy. Instead of scrolling through 40 pages, ask Scout “What is the procedure for requesting annual leave?” and it will pull the relevant section with a citation to the exact document. Learn more about Scout AI →
Scout is grounded entirely in your organisation’s own uploaded documents, so its answers are always based on your actual policies rather than generic information from the internet.
