Use Admin settings > Billing to set up and manage your organisation’s CampSite subscription. CampSite uses GoCardless hosted Direct Debit setup. Your team enters payment details on GoCardless, not in CampSite. CampSite shows subscription status, plan, trial or grace state, and the next period date when available.

Who can manage billing

Users need the billing.manage permission to start setup, sync status, or request cancellation. Users with billing.view can view billing status without making changes.

Set up billing

When you start from the CampSite pricing page, your chosen plan and billing interval are pre-selected in billing. Payment happens through GoCardless Direct Debit before your trial ends.
  1. Open Admin settings > Billing.
  2. Choose a self-serve plan and billing interval.
  3. Select Set up billing.
  4. Complete the hosted GoCardless Direct Debit flow.
  5. Return to CampSite.
Access updates after GoCardless confirms the billing event by webhook. The return page is only a confirmation screen and does not activate access by itself.

Billing states

CampSite uses simple access states across the workspace:
  • trial: the organisation is in its trial period.
  • active: subscription access is active.
  • limited: payment needs attention, but billing recovery remains available.
  • suspended: normal workspace access is paused until billing is recovered.
If a trial has ended, or the organisation is limited or suspended, org admins can still reach:
  • Admin settings for the recovery hub
  • Admin settings > Billing for plan and payment actions
  • Support docs from the recovery hub
This keeps renewal and billing recovery available while the rest of the workspace is paused.

What CampSite shows

The billing page can show:
  • Current plan
  • Subscription and access state
  • Trial or grace period state
  • Current or next billing period date when known
  • Setup, sync, and cancellation actions when permitted
CampSite does not show bank details, GoCardless customer IDs, mandate IDs, raw events, or debug data to normal users.
