Where to find it

Open Max hours from the HR navigation (/hr/max-hours). You need permission to view or manage HR records.

What it shows

For the selected ISO week (Monday start), the queue lists active staff who have a weekly hours cap and whose scheduled rota hours are over that cap or within 2 hours of it. For each person you see:
  • Scheduled hours for the week
  • Cap hours
  • Remaining hours (negative when over)
  • Status: Over or Approaching
  • Links to the employee record and rota
People without a numeric weekly cap (for example unrestricted full-time contracts) are excluded.

Working Time

For 48-hour average opt-outs and consecutive-shift rest shortfalls (under 11 hours), open Working Time.

How the cap is chosen

Campsite uses this order for the weekly hours cap across all of a person’s roles and shifts:
  1. Person-level work restriction on the employee Right to work section (visa or legal limit), when it is in effect for that week
  2. Signed contract max hours, when set
  3. Weekly hours on the Job / HR record
Set the person-level restriction when someone has a visa or similar limit that must apply across concurrent roles (for example 20 hours total, not 20 hours per role). Contracted hours on each role stay separate for Job and pay; the restriction is the legal ceiling for rota and timesheets.

Alerts

Working-hours excess metric notifications remain separate. They are already deduped once per recipient and ISO week, so reviewing this queue does not create duplicate alerts for the same week. Tune related thresholds on HR metrics → HR settings.
