Where to find the org chart
Your access route depends on your role:- HR users — navigate to HR → Org Chart (
/hr/org-chart). - Managers — navigate to My Team → Org Chart (
/manager/org-chart), where the view is scoped to your department and reports.
What the org chart shows
The chart renders your organisation’s full hierarchy in a top-down tree layout:- Departments — the top-level groupings in your organisation (for example, People & Culture, Events, or Operations).
- Teams — sub-groupings within each department.
- Sub-teams — a further level of nesting for larger teams.
- Reports-to chain — lines connecting each person to their direct manager, making the approval chain visible at a glance.
Managing your organisation’s structure
Super Admins control the structure that the org chart reflects. Changes are made in Admin → Departments, Admin → Teams, and Admin → Sub-teams:Manage teams and sub-teams
Within each department, use Admin → Teams to add or edit teams, and Admin → Sub-teams for further nesting.
Update reporting lines
On any member’s profile (HR → Records), update the Reports to field to change where that person sits in the hierarchy.
Department names, team names, and reporting lines are entirely configurable. Campsite does not impose any fixed structure — your organisation’s chart reflects exactly what your Super Admin has set up.
Keeping the chart accurate
The org chart is only as useful as the data behind it. A few habits that help:- Update reporting lines promptly when managers change or people move teams.
- Archive departing members in HR → Records so they no longer appear in the active chart.
- Review the structure periodically — especially before running a performance cycle or configuring leave approval chains — to catch any stale assignments.
